About CMS

Central Montessori Pre-School/ Kindergarten is a non-denominational, co-educational private school that will offer a Montessori learning environment at 286 El Camino Real in Encinitas, San Diego North County, California.

Since the establishment of the first campus in Canada, and its success in reaching the full enrolment in the first year, it has consistently grown into four campuses between 1995 and 2002. Due to an overwhelming parent satisfaction and demand for quality Montessori education in the growing communities, CMS offers 6 well equipped classrooms in over 7500 s.f. of indoor and 14,000 s.f. of outdoor licensed facilities.

Hallmarks of a Montessori school include:

The rich and broad Montessori curriculum is based on a child's developmental rhythms. It allows each child to reach his or her full potential by providing the equipment and guidance to learn each skill at its proper time.

Montessori children consistently score high on standardized tests. But there is much more to Montessori than reading, writing and arithmetic. Montessori children learn social and everyday living skills. They are shown how to take charge of their own learning and working, and encouraged to develop self confidence based on real achievement - truly, and education for like.
